Fault Analysis on Diesel Engine Failure to Start (3)

Analysis of the causes of excessive engine water temperature

First, the fuel injection time is too early or too late, which affects the combustion process and causes the afterburning period to be too long. The time for the cooling water to contact the cylinder wall is relatively prolonged, causing the water temperature to be too high.

Second, the fuel injection volume is too large, causing the mixture to be too rich, the slow ignition period and the supplementary ignition period are correspondingly extended, and the water temperature is too high.

Third, the injection pressure of the injector is too high or too low, which affects the injection stroke and atomization quality of the fuel. If the injection pressure is too high, the diesel on the wall of the potted combustion chamber will form a liquid state, which is not conducive to atomization; if the injection pressure is low, the atomization quality will be poor. Oil dripping from the injector will increase the amount of oil, and in severe cases, the injector may be burned.
