Fault Analysis on Diesel Engine Failure to Start
Fault performance:
1. It cannot be started or is difficult to start after several starts.
2. Stop quickly after reluctantly starting.
Main reason:
1. Diesel quality is poor, with more floating objects and impurities;
2. The diesel filter element is clogged;
3. The oil inlet pipe is leaking;
4. The diesel fuel pump is damaged;
5. The battery power is insufficient;
6. The parking solenoid valve is damaged.
The diesel supply system is an independent system, mainly composed of pipelines, filters, and oil transfer pumps. The relevant starting electrical parts mainly include circuits, batteries, and starter motors. When a startup failure occurs, you should first check whether the battery is normal. If the power is insufficient, you should charge it or connect the battery in parallel from other equipment. Check again whether the filter element is clogged. If it is clogged, replace the filter element; fill the new filter element with clean diesel, install it, and exhaust the air; the first time because the oil line is not completely filled with fuel, the startup time will be slightly longer, but not more than 10 seconds; if it starts If it fails, it must be stopped for 2 minutes to allow the motor to fully cool down before starting. Otherwise, the starter motor may be easily burned out. If it is winter and it is difficult to start, you should also check whether the oil supply rack is in the oil supply position and whether the preheating system is normal. After three consecutive startup failures, other reasons should be found. If necessary, remove the parking solenoid valve and reset the rack.
